The video game God of War surpasses all of Sony’s previous exclusives in terms of technology, and here are all the details …

We continue to summarize the important feedback received after the release of the gameplay trailer for the game God of War. The team at Digital Foundry had the opportunity to test the game after traveling to Paris, where they experienced the game for the first time in order to provide a comprehensive technical review. They released a report yesterday that confirmed that God of War lived up to expectations and surpassed other notable exclusives from Sony such as Uncharted 4 and Horizon Zero Dawn. The game utilizes advanced graphics processing technology and focuses on details in character design.

This was clearly evident in the video as they focused on the protagonist, Kratos, highlighting intricate details in his design. Digital Foundry mentioned that the game runs on the PlayStation 4 Pro at 4K resolution using Checkerboard Rendering, creating visuals that are indistinguishable from true 4K resolution.

The high-quality and professional development team implemented various lighting techniques to deliver the best possible visual quality, along with advanced visual effects seen throughout the gameplay, such as blood splatters on Kratos’ body and volcanic eruptions from enemies. Despite some technical issues with lighting reflections on shiny surfaces and water movement quality, the team at Digital Foundry still considers the game to be one of the strongest graphically on the console.

This is only from the portion they were allowed to record, so what about the full game? All will be revealed in upcoming showcases upon the game’s exclusive release on April 20 for the PlayStation 4. Best regards.
