The results showed that the selfie camera on the phone provides accurate exposure with a wide dynamic range and high contrast, especially when using HDR screens. The autofocus is reliable and offers a wide depth of field.
Additionally, the front camera of the iPhone 16 Pro Max shows high levels of detail in both photo and video modes. These features have contributed to the phone achieving the top spot in the rankings, despite using the same front camera as the previous model with slight software improvements.
The front camera of the iPhone 16 Pro Max was compared to those in the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL and iPhone 15 Pro Max. It was found that the phone has a 12-megapixel camera paired with an f/1.9 aperture lens, which helps improve light capture for better performance in low light conditions.
The camera also features precise autofocus, ensuring clear selfie shots across various distances. In terms of video recording, the front camera supports 4K video recording at multiple frame rates including 24, 25, 30, and 60 frames per second, as well as 1080p resolution at frame rates ranging from 25 to 120 frames per second. The 4k 30 frames per second mode was tested to achieve the best possible quality.
