Tecno has announced the launch of the Camon 30S smartphone, the latest addition to the Camon series that focuses on delivering exceptional performance within the mid-range category. The phone supports only 4G technology, relying on the Helio G100 processor, which sets it apart from other models like the Camon 30 Pro that supports 5G networks thanks to the Dimensity 8200 Ultimate chip.
The Tecno Camon 30S comes in various configurations ranging from 6/128GB to 8/256GB, with the option to expand the RAM by default. One of the key improvements in the device is the curved screen that supports FHD+ OLED technology at a size of 6.78 inches, with a 120Hz refresh rate and a brightness of up to 1300 nits, making the viewing experience smoother and clearer, especially in bright lighting conditions.
The phone also features IP53 technology, making it water and dust resistant, allowing it to be used even with wet fingers, enhancing its durability in various conditions.
In terms of photography, the phone is equipped with a 50MP main rear camera, featuring a Sony IMX896 sensor and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) technology, ensuring high-quality photos even in low light conditions. The front camera comes with a 13MP resolution with dual LED flash, improving selfie performance.
The Camon 30S also supports Dolby Atmos stereo speakers and a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support, which is a slower speed compared to the Camon 30 that supports 70W charging, but it still provides a fast and efficient charging experience.
Another notable feature of the phone is the color changing technology that allows the blue color to darken when exposed to sunlight, adding a special aesthetic touch to the phone.
The phone is currently available in Pakistan for approximately $215 for the 8/256GB configuration, and has been spotted in several other markets such as Kenya and Mali, but has not been officially launched there yet.
