Satya Nadella: Continuing to Expand Our Content Coverage to Include New Platforms
Amid speculation that 4 Xbox exclusive games are coming to PS5 in the near future, Microsoft’s CEO recently boasted about the success of Xbox games on Playstation. He mentioned that they have 7 out of the top 25 games on the Playstation store.
Today, Satya Nadella, the CEO of Microsoft, stated in the annual report for 2024 that their company will continue to expand our content to include new platforms, indicating that more Xbox games are coming to PS5 and Switch.
We offer great games to more people on more devices. Through our acquisition of Activision Blizzard King, which was completed in October 2023, we added hundreds of millions of players to our ecosystem.
We now have 20 titles or franchises that have generated over a billion dollars in revenue over their lifetime – from Candy Crush and Diablo to Halo, Warcraft, Elder Scrolls, and Gears of War. And with Xbox cloud games, we continue to innovate to offer players more ways to experience the games they love – wherever, whenever, and however they want.
We have brought four of our fan-favorite titles to Nintendo Switch and Sony PlayStation for the first time, as we continue to extend our content to new platforms.
It is worth noting that Microsoft owns 20 game titles that have surpassed a billion US dollars in revenue.
