Finally, Google Chrome version 66 has arrived and now blocks annoying videos from playing automatically along with a feature to export saved passwords.

Google Chrome version 66 has been released today as planned for Windows, MacOS, Linux, iOS, and Android users. One of the most anticipated features is the automatic blocking of annoying video playback on websites you visit online. Additionally, with this new version, we can also export saved passwords in Chrome, which will be covered in a separate post later today or tomorrow, God willing.

You can update Google Chrome directly from the browser, which is the recommended option, or download the new version from the chrome link. This browser, used by over 1 billion users, is regularly updated by Google with the latest features.

Undoubtedly, the biggest new feature of Google Chrome 66 is the automatic video playback blocking. As previously announced, this feature was scheduled to be launched in January, but it is finally available after a few months. To determine if video content is blocked or not, the Media Engagement Index (MEI) is used.
Finally, we will also be able to export saved passwords in Google Chrome. This option is available in the settings under the Passwords and Forms section in the Password Management option. By clicking on the three dots icon before the password list, we will have access to the “Export Passwords” option. It will be saved under the name “Chrome Passwords.csv”.
