Explanation of Privacy on Facebook in the New Format

You can adjust privacy settings on Facebook Timeline through the privacy settings in the new Facebook Timeline explanation.

For example, regarding photos (hiding photo albums from everyone except specific people)

Go to the album you want to hide from the public or specific people, then click on edit album, and then click on the icon as shown in the following image:

Public >>> The album will be visible to everyone.
Friends >>> The album will only be visible to your friends.
Custom >>> You can specify who can see it or not, or choose any friends list if you have created one (some people create lists like school friends list and others).

Regarding your personal information (such as education information and more)

Go to your profile page, then click on edit profile (at the top), then edit the information, for example, for current city, look for the icon next to it and click on it as shown in the following image:

Public >>> The album will be visible to everyone.

Friends >>> The album will only be visible to your friends.
Custom >>> You can specify who can see it or not, or choose any friends list if you have created one (some people create lists like school friends list and others).


And so, you click on Education and Work on the right and edit it in the same way, and also Philosophy, Arts and Entertainment, Sports, Activities and Interests, Contact Information, and so on for the rest of the list.

For hiding or showing a post or status to the public or specific people

All you have to do is go to the status or post you’ve made on your wall and then click on the icon as shown in the following image:



Public

Custom >>> You can specify who can see it or not, or choose any friends list if you have created one (some people create lists like school friends list and others).

You can customize anything on Facebook as long as this icon is present in front of it .

Another way, if you want to customize your entire profile

1 – Click on the account at the top, then privacy settings.

2 – After that, you can apply one policy to everything posted on your page, or you can also customize it.

For example, you can choose public, friends, or custom to apply to your entire page.

You can also manually edit it by choosing the data you want to edit and clicking on edit settings
