Fujitsu, the Japanese company, has announced the launch of its new FMV Zero Lifebook WU5/J3 laptop, which is described as the lightest laptop in the world with a 14-inch screen. This device impresses technology enthusiasts with its advanced features and unique design.
The laptop is made using highly durable carbon fibers, giving it exceptional resistance to shocks and pressure, as it complies with the military durability standards “MIL-STD-810H.” The device is ideal for users looking for powerful performance and durability combined, as it not only focuses on lightweight but also combines strength and high efficiency.
The FMV Zero Lifebook WU5/J3 comes equipped with a dedicated neural processing unit for artificial intelligence AI NPU, enhancing the performance of AI-based applications such as the built-in “Copailot” in the Windows 11 system. In addition, the laptop features a wide range of ports including two USB-A ports, two USB-C ports, a full-sized HDMI port, an Ethernet port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a microSD card slot.
The laptop weighs only 634 grams and operates for a period ranging from 6 to 11 hours depending on usage pattern, making it an ideal choice for people in need of a lightweight and portable laptop without compromising battery life or performance.
Users can choose between an Intel Core Ultra 5 125U processor or an Intel Core Ultra 7 155U, as both processors support the AI Boost NPU, providing a fast and smooth experience for AI applications. The laptop’s RAM varies between 8 and 64 gigabytes, while the SSD storage capacity ranges from 256 gigabytes to 2 terabytes, offering great flexibility for users according to their needs.
Other amazing features include the ability to log into the Windows operating system using fingerprint or facial recognition technology, as well as AI-supported noise cancellation feature that enhances video call experience. This software can recognize the user’s voice and automatically ignore other noises.
The laptop also includes a new program called “Umore” that relies on AI to enhance the user’s appearance in video calls through three-dimensional techniques, integrating with built-in Windows Studio effects.
The Fujitsu FMV Zero Lifebook WU5/J3 laptop will be available starting at $1,325 and will be launched in Japan in mid-November, but there is currently no information on its availability in global markets.
