Spark of Boxing Games Returns with Huge Success in Undisputed Game Sales
Every year, we get new football and basketball games, and even racing games, among other active sports in the video game industry more than boxing games that developers may not have found the right recipe for over the past decades, so when the independent studio Steel City Interactive promised to deliver a real and enjoyable boxing experience with the new Undisputed game, it definitely managed to attract attention towards it.
The result has been very promising so far, as the game has achieved unprecedented success after a new report by GamesIndustry revealed that the game has surpassed 1 million copies sold worldwide across all devices and platforms it was released on.
Undisputed was able to achieve this feat shortly after its release in the markets, previously available as a trial version, and the full version was released earlier this month in October 2024.
Studio director Ash Habib expressed his great happiness with this joyful performance of the game, confirming that the sales exceeded their expectations, and he is very pleased to see their efforts pay off after a long time building the game gradually and gaining a fan base for it.
Undisputed is currently available on PC and the current generation of home platforms PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
In a humorous twist, the closest boxing experience we had in recent years was due to a technical glitch in the game Halo Infinite that turned firefight rounds into a real boxing ring! Don’t miss reading the special news from here.
