You can get rid of OneDrive service despite Microsoft

OneDrive cloud storage service is installed by default on Windows, but most of us do not use it and it can be annoying at times as it starts with Windows and runs in the background consuming device resources. So, in this post, we will learn how to completely stop the OneDrive service.
The method relies on disabling it completely using the Group Policy Editor tool, which you can open by searching for group policy in the Windows search field
After opening the tool, click on Computer Configuration twice, then click on Administrative Templates, then on Windows Components, then OneDrive.
On the right side, click on Prevent the usage of OneDrive for file storage twice
A window will appear, select the option Enabled from it, then press the OK button to save the changes
When you try to run OneDrive, you will receive an error message and will not be able to open it. If you want to re-enable the OneDrive service, set the option to Disabled or Not Configured instead of Enabled.
