Xiaomi launches the cheapest smart oven that can be controlled from a phone, priced at only 35 euros.

Xiaomi continues to invest in filling the kitchen with smart appliances. In recent months, they have launched smart products such as blenders, microwaves, fryers, and even other high-energy smart ovens. Now, they have announced the release of their cheapest smart oven.

The Mijia Smart Steam Small Oven 12L is Xiaomi’s new affordable oven. It has a capacity of 12 liters as indicated by its name, and provides up to 1300 watts of power. With a compact interior capacity, it heats the inside quickly, making it ideal for providing uniform heat.

The oven has a small water space, where 5 ml of water can be added so the oven generates some steam inside and the surface of the cooked item is roasted, but in a way that is not overly dry.

Additionally, this also helps in reheating food that has been cooked for a few hours, which tends to lose moisture and become drier. Thanks to this, its taste will be as if it were freshly cooked. Xiaomi recommends using the oven for cooking pizza, fish, meat, or cakes, as the first three are the most beneficial from the food reheating option. It has two quartz rods, one at the top and the other at the bottom, to heat the food from the inside, and it can also make toast inside.

In terms of smart functions, there is the ability to control it through a mobile phone app. Through it, we can know the remaining cooking time or adjust the temperature or use automatic recipes so we don’t have to rely on cooking sites or watch cooking shows to learn new recipes. The oven has a smart temperature control system, providing precise changes of 1 degree Celsius, applied per second. In addition to controlling it from the phone, it also has physical control elements on the front, including a timer and a temperature control button. There is also a Wi-Fi icon to indicate whether the oven is correctly connected to the phone app.

Due to its small size, it is ideal for cooking food for one or two people at most, although some dishes can be prepared for three people. There is a grid in the bottom part to facilitate cleaning in case of crumbs or other food residue falling.

It is priced at 299 yuan, or approximately 38.6 euros for exchange. However, during the launch, the promotional price will be 269 yuan, or about 35 euros for exchange, making it the cheapest oven Xiaomi has released on the market. It is available only in white.
