X announces updating privacy policy to share user data with external companies.
Ex announced a new update in its privacy policy, where this update allows sharing user data with external parties for the purpose of training artificial intelligence models. This update will come into effect on November 15 of next year, allowing external companies to purchase user data for various purposes, including training generative artificial intelligence models.
Although the new policy gives users the ability to refuse sharing their data, Ex has not yet clarified the exact way in which this refusal can be implemented. More details are expected to be revealed about this before the policy is implemented.
In addition to the privacy policy update, Ex emphasized the need to combat the unlawful collection of data, imposing a fine of up to fifteen thousand US dollars for every million posts accessed within a twenty-four-hour period.
