WhatsApp Update Introduces New Features to Facilitate Communication for Users
WhatsApp has released a new update that allows iPhone users to add a shortcut to chats on the home screen, enhancing user experience in accessing conversations quickly. This update, which comes with the new version number 24.21.81, has started rolling out to all users gradually.
Users can now use the interface customization feature to add a Widget to the home screen, with various options including quick access to favorite chats, like recent chats, saved chats, pinned chats, and also frequently contacted chats.
The update also includes new enhancements, such as support for zooming in on images using the built-in camera ranging from 0.5x to 3x, as well as the ability to mention others in the status feature by using the @ button while typing.
Despite these features, WhatsApp has confirmed that the updates will not be available to all users immediately, but will be rolled out over the coming weeks.
Additionally, WhatsApp has started testing the automatic message blocking feature from unregistered numbers in the contact list. To activate this feature, users can go to the privacy settings in the app, select the “Advanced Settings” tab, and enable the option to block messages from unknown accounts.
This feature works to automatically block messages from unknown accounts if they exceed a specified number of messages, enhancing user protection from annoying or harmful messages. However, this feature will not block all random messages, but will only target accounts that send a large number of messages in a short period of time.
It is worth mentioning that the blocking system automatically reverses when the message rate returns to normal, ensuring that all accounts are not permanently blocked, but focusing on those exhibiting suspicious behavior.
