Emoji and stickers have become a form of communication in their own right, often replacing text messages. WhatsApp is aware of this, and as a result, they are constantly improving their catalog of emojis and stickers so that their users can always find an expressive symbol or sticker to convey what they want to express in that moment.
In 2018, WhatsApp enabled the option to share stickers through its core system and later allowed for importing stickers from third-party apps as long as their creators linked a certain number of emojis to each sticker.
This feature is the basis of the new WhatsApp stickers feature, already available in the latest beta version of the Android app, which has the version number 2.23.14.16. It proposes stickers that show you all the stickers related to the emojis you choose.
So, as you can see in the screenshot above, when selecting an emoji, a tray will appear on the chat bar with all the stickers related to the emojis you have chosen.
This feature is really useful for users, as it allows you to quickly locate a specific sticker among all the sticker packs you have installed. It should be noted that this function is compatible with third-party stickers, but to work with Recommended, each sticker must have at least one associated emoji.
This new sticker recommendation feature is still under development, and currently, it is only available to some users of the latest version of WhatsApp for Android. However, it is expected to reach the rest of the testers in the next few weeks and the majority of messaging app users within a month or two.
