WhatsApp Enhances User Experience by Introducing AI-powered Chat Memory Feature

WhatsApp is working on a new feature called “Chat Memory” that aims to enhance users’ personal chat experience. This feature relies on artificial intelligence and allows the smart assistant Meta AI to remember important details about users, such as their personal preferences, birthdays, as well as their interests in books, movies, and food.
The new feature will enable Meta AI to provide customized and more accurate responses based on these details, adding a personal touch to conversations and making interactions with the smart assistant more interactive and realistic. The assistant can automatically record information, with the ability to recall it when needed, to improve the user experience and meet their needs more quickly and conveniently.
The “Chat Memory” feature has been spotted in the latest experimental versions of WhatsApp on the Android system, but it is not yet available to everyone. It is expected to be gradually rolled out to users in the near future. The feature will be accessible through a dedicated section on the Meta AI page within the app, where users can see everything the smart assistant remembers about them.
Users will also have full control over the information saved by the smart assistant, with the ability to update or delete any unwanted data. By adding this feature, WhatsApp is moving towards enhancing the chat experience through the use of artificial intelligence technologies, similar to what other platforms like ChatGPT offer.
Earlier, WhatsApp allowed users to talk to Meta AI using voice messages, and the smart bot’s availability was expanded to include 43 countries, with expectations of it soon reaching the Middle Eastern countries.
