WhatsApp adds new features to enhance video watching experience
WhatsApp has announced a new update that includes innovative playback speed controls for videos, allowing users three options to control playback speed: normal, one and a half times faster, and double speed. This feature adds value to improve user experience while watching videos.
According to “Phone arena,” these new features enhance user flexibility, as they can adjust playback speed to suit their preferences or even save time when watching long videos. The playback speed control tool is placed next to the progress bar, making it easily accessible and smooth.
Furthermore, the changelog also revealed a widespread rollout of the picture-in-picture feature for videos, allowing users to resize and move the video window around the screen effortlessly, enhancing multitasking experience. This feature can be activated through a button near the playback bar, enabling users to continue watching videos while chatting, browsing other conversations, or using other apps without interruption.
The picture-in-picture window includes basic playback controls like forward, backward, and pause, ensuring that users can manage their videos easily and without any hassle. These updates reflect WhatsApp’s commitment to enhancing user experience and meeting their growing needs in the world of digital communication.
