Warning: Do not install this update on your Samsung phone … it will crash and you will lose all your files
One of the most common tips to ensure the security of our devices and maximize their performance is to keep them updated. As a general rule, software updates provide new features, improvements, and bug fixes, although there are cases where the problem can arise sometimes.
Just a few days ago, we mentioned that some Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra users faced camera issues after installing the update to One UI 6.1.1 and recently a new error related to a company software update has appeared. On this occasion, the main affected are Samsung Galaxy S10 and Samsung Galaxy Note 10.
We read about the issue on Android Authority , where they mention that the error seems to affect all Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 phones. The issue is very serious because it completely disables the device and prevents us from turning it back on. The only solution to fix the problem is to reset the factory settings, which results in data loss if we don’t have a backup.
Many users have reported this issue in the past few hours in various threads posted on Reddit . Apparently, the most affected devices are Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10, although they are not the only ones: some users of smartphones like Galaxy M51 or Galaxy A90 have also experienced the same issue after the update.
The cause of the error is unclear, although one Reddit post mentions an update to the SmartThings Framework app available in the Samsung store. The app has not been updated since July, and the new update arrived just hours before the issue was discussed.
Samsung has not issued any statement on this matter or any solution for affected users. As expected, it seems that the only solution is to restore the device’s factory settings from recovery mode, meaning we will lose our data if we don’t have a backup. We will remain vigilant to see if Samsung will issue a statement regarding this issue.
