Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2 reaches 4.5 million players.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 from Saber Interactive has achieved a new milestone in player count, surpassing 4.5 million players since its launch last month. This comes after we learned that it reached 2 million players within two days of its global release in the latest official count.
The third-person shooter game has performed well since then, becoming the second biggest new release in Europe for 2024. It also set a record for peak concurrent players on Steam for the Warhammer series, reaching 225,690 players on September 9th through the Early Access version.
This is just the beginning as Focus Entertainment tweeted to celebrate this achievement. Saber recently showcased upcoming content in Season 2, including a new operation, a new enemy in Hierophant Bio-Titan, Lethal difficulty, and more.
Additionally, the developer has discussed internally ideas for a sequel or upcoming additional content, although nothing has been confirmed.
You can read our review of the game here, and here’s the gist:
Space Marine 2 offers an epic experience in its main story with intense battles, seamless cooperative gameplay support, diverse impactful weaponry, and stunning cinematic visual effects, only marred by its linear nature. After completing the story, you have hours of enjoyment with various PvE and PvP competitions through experiencing all available classes that uniquely change the gameplay.
4.5 million players on #SpaceMarine 2… Thank you 🥹
We want to thank every single Space Marine who has joined the fight a month ago!
