Unique way to evaluate your Microsoft device components without software
To apply the method, simply open the Command Prompt by typing “cmd” in the Start menu search, right-clicking on it, and then selecting Run As Admin. Once the Command Prompt window appears, type Winsat formal and press Enter. Another window will appear, close the Command Prompt, and the evaluation process will be finished.
To view the evaluation, go to the path C:\Windows\Performance\WinSAT\DataStore on your device, then open the Formal.Assessment file in your browser. You will find the evaluation of each component in your device displayed, like in the image below where the processor scored 8.2, hard drive 7.25, and RAM 8.2. While the display might not look great, it is a faster and easier method.
Certainly, everyone will be interested in conducting this evaluation on their device to know the rating of their components and the efficiency of their device. Generally, you can test components of the device and also know the specifications of your device’s components. We have covered many topics related to device components before. I also want to clarify that this evaluation is not 100% accurate, and the final score displayed in Windows is the lowest rating of the components. Meaning, if the highest component has a score of 4.9, the overall score will be 4.9 as the lowest component in my device! Thus, it is best to check the evaluation of each component individually.
