Top Android apps you should try this week [30/08/2019]
One of the most beloved and sought-after things by smartphone users is apps, as they play a role in improving the browsing experience and benefiting from their features in various aspects of life. Therefore, it is our duty to present to you these apps, not just any apps, but the best and most effective ones. Before you delve into that in our daily articles, let’s start with our weekly article, targeting Android users and putting in their hands a selection of the best new apps on the Google Play Store.
As with the best Android apps of the previous week [23/08/2019], we bring you a new set of apps, considering both new apps and previously discovered ones. Also, there is no problem in including paid apps as long as the benefit is present. Without further ado, let’s start directly with this week’s article, with the apps for this week being as follows:
1. AutoTagger:
First in this group of apps is an app that allows you to organize your music tracks easily by editing them in bulk and identifying them in seconds. AutoTagger also allows automatic and manual downloading of album covers for your tracks, with the option to choose them from the gallery. Additionally, you can manually change tags such as song title, artist, album, year, genre, etc. The app also provides dark theme support and supports editing file tags (1 and ID3v2), and more. The app is available for free download with in-app purchases.
2. WallPix:
One of the new apps on the Google Play Store, WallPix provides users with a wide range of HD and 4K wallpapers. It even supports a package of wallpapers specifically designed for pop-up screens like the Galaxy Note 10. With this app, you can download wallpapers and apply them to the home screen or lock screen from the gallery, or choose a wallpaper and apply it directly from the app without downloading it. Daily, more wallpapers are added for users, all available for free.
3. Flat Dark Evo:
Another new app that falls under customization apps, Flat Dark Evo provides over 1500 high-quality app icons at 192×192 pixels resolution, with more being added regularly. The app supports browsing these icons by categories or searching for them through the search engine. It also offers an interface to select icons based on dark or light theme, with the ability to request specific icons. Like most of these apps, some of the features are paid, and the same goes for this app.
Another new app similar to the previous one, allowing you to customize your smartphone with a variety of basic icons in vintage colors and larger sizes. The app offers a pack of over 600 icons available in different categories, along with over 180 specially designed wallpapers to match the app icons. This app is available for free download, with in-app purchases included.
Another new app, Expenses: Simple Tracker, is an open-source, free, fast, and powerful app that allows you to track your expenses with a smooth interface containing only essential features in expense management. With this app, you can easily track your budget, even in offline mode, manage your expenses by tags, and customize it as you see fit. The app is available for free download and fully functional.
6. mnml Launcher:
One of the new launchers on the Google Play Store, mnml Launcher is still under development but available for download independently. This launcher features an extremely simple user interface with a basic layout, filling the first page based on smart learning algorithms. It also offers full customization support. The app is now available for free and complete download.
7. Philo:
Philo is a relatively new video streaming service, similar to Hulu and Netflix, offering a variety of shows from networks like AMC, BET, Comedy Central, Discovery, HGTV, Food Network, and many others for a flat fee of $20 per month. However, at the time of writing this description, the app does not support Chromecast, but support is expected in the future. Despite some issues related to image uploads, the app works well, and improvements are expected in the coming months. If you’re interested, keep an eye on the app.
8. Squarespace:
The last app in this group, Squarespace, launched a new app this month for Android. This app allows you to manage your website, add blog posts, upload photos, and design the site as a whole. It is much better than using a browser on the phone to manage these things. Note that there are some errors, mostly related to image uploads, but it is too early to expect bug fixes yet. Major improvements are expected over time.
