This version of Windows 10 will stop receiving updates in 30 days.. Update now if you have it

Installing new versions of Windows as they become available is extremely important and something we all must do. However, we often tend to maximize the use of each version and wait until the last minute before updating, which can be risky. If you are still using the 21H2 version of Windows 10, your security updates will soon expire. This can be serious.

Windows 10, in general, has already become a thing of the past. In October 2025, Microsoft will end regular support for this operating system, leaving all users to their fate, unless they decide to opt for the extended support for 3 years that will be provided. The problem worsens when considering that Windows 10 is still installed on over 60% of computers worldwide to this day.

Regardless of what users and companies demand, the end of Windows 10 will be a reality. The only option to continue using Windows at the moment, with support in the long term, is to upgrade to Windows 11. However, considering that this operating system does not work properly on all computers, it is not a feasible option (today) for most users.

But it doesn’t stop there. Within just 30 days, the new version of Windows 10, which has been in operation for almost 3 years, will reach the end of its lifecycle: 21H2.

– End of support for Windows 10 21H2

Microsoft has just published a notice for anyone who has forgotten, to remind them that the Enterprise, Education, and IoT versions of Windows 10 21H2 will be unsupported in just 30 days. The last security patches these Windows versions will receive will be on June 11th. From that date, this version of the system will be left to its fate.

When support for the Windows 10 21H2 operating system ends, only 22H2 will remain with support and updates. If we want to be able to continue using this system without risks, we will need to update to this version no matter what. The update is done through Windows Update, and it is completely free.
