This is how James and Mary’s characters looked in Silent Hill 2 before their appearance changed.
The digital art book for the remastered version of Silent Hill 2 from Konami and Bloober Team reveals an alternative look for three of the main characters in the game. It includes artistic designs of key locations in the game, alternate costumes, and character designs for James, Angela, and Maria that differ greatly from what we saw in the final product.

These illustrations of James, Maria, and Angela were created by a concept artist based on his vision of the characters. A final design was then created for each character to be used in the game, and as shown above, the artistic works include differences in clothing for both Maria and Angela.
Konami announced that digital sales and shipments of the Silent Hill 2 remaster have exceeded one million copies worldwide, surpassing this record in just three days from its global release on October 8. It will be interesting to see the game’s ability to maintain sales momentum, but it has certainly started off impressively.
