This is a new part of the original Black Ops series, which is popular among players, and its events take place in the early 1980s, dropping players into the midst of a politically volatile world during the Cold War in a gripping experience full of mystery. In addition to the story mode, Black Ops Cold War will bring a range of weapons and Cold War equipment to the new generation of Black Ops combat style for multiplayer gameplay and a completely new cooperative gaming experience with the Zombie mode.

Both Treyarch and Raven Software studios developed the game Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War for the new generation platforms, and it is set to be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC through Battle. net service starting on November 13, and the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions will be released during the holiday season at the end of this year 2020 according to the availability date of the new generation platforms for consumers.

Through monitoring developer statements as mentioned in the press release available to us from Activision, Bobby Kotick, CEO of Activision Blizzard, stated:

“We are excited to launch the new flagship game from the Call of Duty series, one of the most famous gaming series in the entertainment industry, and share it with over 100 million players to enjoy the experience across console, PC, and mobile platforms. Black Ops Cold War will provide an exciting experience that will raise the standards of new action games and maintain our players’ connection with their friends.”

Dan Vondrak, Senior Creative Director at Raven Software also stated:

“It is a great honor for us to develop a completely new story for Call of Duty: Black Ops players. Black Ops Cold War continues the story directly after the end of the original version, as players embark on an exciting and conspiracy-filled journey in the 1980s. Players will fight alongside their favorite characters like Woods, Mason, and Hudson to uncover the truth. The game will be full of puzzles and mysteries, with player choices shaping the story path. We can’t wait for players to experience the game for themselves.”

Mark Gordon, Assistant Studio Head at Treyarch, added:

“Black Ops Cold War is a celebration of what makes the Black Ops game series unique and a fresh start for a new generation of players. As developers, we feel that our ability to provide this experience across a new generation of platforms is a fantastic and exciting opportunity.”

Dan Bunting, Assistant Studio Head at Treyarch, also commented:

“Today is just the beginning, and Treyarch will deliver a new and interconnected multiplayer gaming experience, in addition to an amazing Zombies experience, as well as our plans to expand the Call of Duty: Warzone game through new experiences for everyone. The future holds many surprises!”

The game Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War merges unique Black Ops elements from the pop culture of the 1980s through a mysterious conspiracy-ridden story in the amazing single-player story mode. In this complementary part of the original Call of Duty: Black Ops game, players will confront historical characters and discover hard truths as they fight around the world in famous locations such as East Berlin, Turkey, Vietnam, Moscow during the Soviet era, and more.

Players, as elite agents, will try to stop a decades-long conspiracy and follow the path of a mysterious character named Perseus who is on a mission to upset the balance of global power and change the course of history. Alongside the story mode, players will bring a wide range of Cold War weapons and equipment to the new generation of multiplayer battles and completely new Zombie mode experience.

The new game supports gameplay across both current and next-generation consoles with Cross Generation Crossplay Support system and performance enhancements in all modes. Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War will also offer a Battle Pass, which includes a fantastic range of free content post-launch, including multiplayer maps, modes, and zombie experiences with an exciting schedule of gameplay events for the game community.

Activision has scheduled September 9th as the date to watch the anticipated trailer and get the first look at the multiplayer gaming experience in Black Ops Cold War. The Black Ops Cold War game will also support the successful free-to-play Call of Duty: Warzone gaming experience and will add to its details.

Black Ops Cold War features shared progression with Warzone and introduces a completely new inventory of tools that can be used in both Black Ops Cold War and Warzone. Warzone players will also be able to use all content from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, including characters and weapon blueprints they have previously earned.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is set to be launched globally on November 13 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, in addition to the next-generation PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series platforms when available later this year.
