The new implantable chip that allows you to make payments with your hand without a card.

Walletmor is a company that relies on NFC technology to create a subdermal payment system, allowing us to go anywhere and simply pass our hands over a reader to make payments.

We are facing a new advancement that may start to emerge. We are talking about a small LED light under the skin that instantly lights up and allows you to make payments as if you were using a card. One user who has used this chip explains, “The procedure is as painful as getting a skin bite from someone.”

The CEO adds that it is completely safe, has regulatory approval, works immediately after implantation, and stays securely in place. Additionally, it lasts indefinitely and does not require a battery or any other power source. The company claims to have already sold over 500 chips.

The technology used by Walletmor is NFC, a contactless payment system for smartphones. Other payment implant procedures rely on Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), a technology usually found in physical contactless debit and credit cards, or in our pet microchips.

The Walletmor chip, weighing less than one gram, consists of a tiny chip and an antenna wrapped in a bio-polymer, a natural plastic-like material. Considering this, we assume these materials are fully compatible with our skin and we will be exempt from allergies.

However, the issue with these chips is whether they will become more advanced in the future and be filled with individual’s private data. But surely, over time they will advance further and we will have identity or a COVID passport embedded within it, for example.
