The Benefits of Surveys now reach WhatsApp channels
WhatsApp has been expanding its feature set for some time now. One of the most interesting features is the ability to edit sent messages, in addition to recently added text formatting tools. While Telegram has had all these features for a long time, it is also true that WhatsApp users have been requesting them for a long time.
According to information revealed in WABetaInfo, the latest beta version of the messaging app already shows the option to conduct polls in channels. The feature can be found, according to the media, by tapping on the clip to attach shared files between all WhatsApp conversations.
We’ll start by saying that this new feature is available in WhatsApp beta version 2.24.2.11. To access the beta program, you must register on Google Play if you are an Android user, or on Testflight if you are an iOS user. It is also worth mentioning that the functions that can be a part of the WhatsApp beta lab are highly sought after.
The polls feature in channels works the same way. All votes are supposed to be anonymous, so the content creator will never know who the user voted for. It will not be possible to know who voted and who did not.
However, the fact that the feature has arrived in beta versions is very good news. Nevertheless, as we always say when talking about WhatsApp beta versions, there is no guarantee that what appears in beta versions will eventually end up in stable releases… although it appears that this feature has all the signs of being available to everyone soon.
