Spider-Man 2 Fans Angered Over Lack of Additional Content Announcement

After a long wait, the audience of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 recently learned that there will be no additional content for the game released in the future. This was confirmed by the game developer, Insomniac Studios, who recently announced the release for PC.

Although Insomniac Studios itself did not announce or even hint at the existence of additional content, this announcement had a great impact on the game’s audience, who were convinced that there would indeed be additional content after the significant leaks the studio faced last year, which revealed the existence of content not present in the base game. It was speculated that this content would be part of the upcoming DLC.

Following the shocking announcement of no additional content, many of the game’s audience expressed their anger and discussed the lack of closure in the story that needed a continuation, similar to what the first game experienced with the expansion Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. However, it seems that the developer wants to complete these missing pieces through the third installment rather than releasing a new expansion.

Other players believe that the absence of additional content for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 makes it a more disappointing game, especially with the mysterious puzzles in the main storyline involving other characters like Venom that have not been widely explored.

From our perspective, there may have been a plan to release an expansion for the game and achieve critical and commercial success as Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales did, but it seems that the significant leaks resulting from the recent hack of the developer prevented that from happening and pushed the developer to transfer those ideas to the next project in the series, which we may have to wait several years for.

A few days ago, unofficial sources revealed information that Sony and Insomniac Studios are preparing to unveil more details about the game Marvel’s Wolverine, believed to be the next project to be released by the same developer on the PlayStation 5.
