Silent Hill 2 Coin Puzzle Solution
Once you have the Man, Woman, and Snake coins, return to the coin box in the small room behind the save point on the first floor in Wood Side Apartments to start the puzzle. You will be given a series of clues indicating where each coin should be placed. Remember that you can flip the coins to reveal a different image.
Puzzle Solutions on “Standard” Difficulty
When playing on the Standard puzzle difficulty, here is how to solve the first coin puzzle in Silent Hill 2:
1. Place the Woman coin in the third slot.
2. Place the Man coin in the first slot.
3. Flip the Snake coin and place the flower in the fifth slot.
First puzzle solution on “Standard” Difficulty
When the puzzle changes to “The man doth approach,” here is how to solve the second coin puzzle:
1. Move the Man coin to the second slot and flip it to reveal the sword.
2. Move the Woman coin to the fourth slot.
Second puzzle solution on “Standard” Difficulty
When the puzzle changes to “Where the flowers once bloomed,” here is how to solve the third coin puzzle:
1. Flip the Flower coin to reveal the snake and keep it in the fifth slot.
2. Flip the Woman coin to reveal the witness of the grave and keep it in the fourth slot.
3. Flip the Sword coin to reveal the Man and move it to the third slot.
Third puzzle solution on “Standard” Difficulty
Finally, when the puzzle changes to “The Beast who its teeth,” place either the Man, Snake, or Woman coin in the slot below the puzzle text on the top of the coin box. While any choice will complete the puzzle and reward you with Apartment 201 key, your choice may affect the ending you will get.
There are likely many other factors at play, but as a reference, we chose the Snake coin and received the “Leave” ending.
