Samsung prepares to launch Galaxy S25 FE with a slimmer design and battery changes.

Samsung is preparing to launch a Fan Edition version of the Galaxy S25 series next year, with a slim design and improved specifications. This version comes after the absence of the Galaxy S22 FE in 2022, as Samsung returns to offer this category annually to smartphone enthusiasts.

The Galaxy S25 series is expected to be unveiled in the first quarter of next year, about three months from now. According to media reports from the Korean site TheElec, Samsung will work on reducing the thickness of the Galaxy S25 FE compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy S24 FE, which is 8mm thick.

Reports indicate that Samsung may use a taller and wider battery to reduce the thickness of the phone, a common strategy among manufacturers to reduce device thickness while maintaining performance. The phone will also feature a 6.7-inch screen, the same size as the Galaxy S24 FE screen.

It is worth mentioning that Samsung had increased the screen size in the Galaxy S24 FE compared to the previous version, the Galaxy S23 FE, with a larger 4700 mAh battery. However, the processor to be used in the Galaxy S25 FE has not been confirmed yet, as Samsung could rely on the Dimensity 9400 processor from Mediatek or the Snapdragon 8 from Qualcomm.

In a related context, rumors suggest that Apple plans to launch a new slim-designed iPhone next year, as part of the expected iPhone 17 series release in September 2025, increasing the competition in the flagship phone market.
