Rockstar Pursues Modders of GTA 4 Definitive Edition!
Rockstar pursues developers of Definitive Edition modification for GTA 4
It seems that the recent leaks that Rockstar Studios, specifically for GTA 6, have been subjected to will not bode well for the gaming community, especially the community of users who modify the company’s titles, especially Grand Theft Auto series editions, as evidenced in the past few hours.
Against the backdrop of what was shared with us by the team behind a famous modification for the game GTA 4 called Definitive Edition, which has been available on PC for years, where it works to improve the game’s graphics partially but, more importantly, it offers wonderful visual details and effects for the game, unlike the original version, even though this modification does not make any changes to the original game software.
However, it is clear that Rockstar is very upset and angry at the behaviors of this user community, especially the massive leaks that the game GTA 6, which has been under development for years, was subjected to, as the team started pursuing the modification through their legal team, after the modification was classified as content that violates intellectual property rights DMCA.
This comment was posted on the download links for the modification, where at this time, PC players are being encouraged to download this distinctive modification intensively, before it is withdrawn in the coming hours as the developing team fears being legally pursued.
It is clear that Rockstar Studios does not joke at all about this issue and deals with it very strictly, led by the publisher Take Two Interactive, despite several years passing since the game was launched, unless they were planning to provide a new version of it, which was talked about by many sources some time ago.
After announcing the GTA Trilogy, the technical level it appeared with, according to some leakers, led Rockstar to cancel the idea completely, but a step like this towards GTA 4 raises more than one question, about the reason behind pursuing a very ordinary modification that does not cause any harm to the original version.
Unless Rockstar wanted to clear the field for a remastered version, it will certainly be welcomed and it seems that they plan to release it next year, which is an opportunity for developers as well to focus more on the next part of the GTA 6 series, which remains the most promising project in the history of Rockstar Studios.
