Resident Evil 4 Remake Sales Reach 8 Million Copies Worldwide
Capcom has announced that the Resident Evil 4 remake has sold more than eight million copies, up from the previously disclosed number of 7.664 million copies in July. The company celebrated this achievement with some new artwork featuring Leon, Ashley, and Ingrid enjoying a day off, with Ada and Wong in the background.
The Resident Evil 4 remake was released in March 2023 for Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC, and is based on the 2005 horror game of the same name. It stars Leon Kennedy as he ventures to a remote village in Spain to rescue the US President’s daughter, Ashley Graham, from the Los Illuminados cult.
This new version retains many elements of the original game while introducing new mechanics, such as the knife-deflect system. It has also received a paid expansion titled “Separate Ways,” which is also very excellent. Both are included in the Gold Edition of Resident Evil 4, along with other good things.
