Report: Call of Duty 2025 continues the events of Black Ops 2 and takes us to the year 2030

It appears that the Call of Duty series will transport players to the future in 2025 with a sequel to Black Ops 2 set in the early 2030s, according to the latest reports discussing the unannounced game.
Details allegedly revealed at a meeting of the Call of Duty social media focus group have surfaced, some of which have been confirmed by Insider Gaming, while Activision has declined to comment on the rumors.
The rumored Black Ops game for 2025 will jump to the early 2030s, picking up where Black Ops 2 for 2012 left off, which was set in 2025 with David Mason from Black Ops 2 as the protagonist.
It is expected that Black Ops 6 mechanics, including the exoskeleton and Omnimovement movement system, will make a return with some modifications such as human shields containing throwable grenades against enemies, wall-jumping, and reportedly, Zombie mode will support 8 players.
Reports indicate that Infinity Ward is also diligently working on the next Modern Warfare game, assumed to be Modern Warfare 4, which may be released in 2026.
