Removing Add-ons from Firefox and Google Chrome Browser
Now, we will review the method for Firefox first, then Google Chrome below. Follow along with the easy method below.
Removing Extensions from Firefox Browser
You can easily disable or delete any extension for the Firefox browser. Note that deleting means completely removing the extension, while disabling an extension means you can re-enable it at any time. If there’s an extension you don’t need for a period of time, disable it. If there’s an extension you don’t want at all, you can delete it. The following video, which is less than a minute long, shows you how to delete or disable any extension in the Firefox browser. Notice in the last part of the video that “Remove” is for deleting the extension, while “Disable” is for disabling it.
As you can see from the video, it’s very simple. You press Tools, then Add-ons, then delete or disable the extensions you want. They will appear for you.
Removing Extensions from Google Chrome Browser
To delete Google Chrome extensions, you can directly paste chrome://extensions in the address bar of the browser. Or you can click on the Chrome menu icon on the side, then choose Tools, then Extensions, then select the extension you want to disable and remove the checkmark next to Enable. If you want to re-enable it, add a checkmark. If you want to completely remove the extension, click on the trash icon Remove next to the extension, as shown in the following image.
It’s very easy for both Firefox and Google Chrome. With just a few steps, you can remove the extension. As mentioned before, having too many extensions can slow down browsing and cause the browser to lag. Therefore, it’s best to disable extensions you don’t always need and delete extensions you don’t need at all.
