Dragon Age: The Veilguard game from BioWare will finally reach us after rumors of reimagining, name changes, and a long development cycle. As a teaser for its upcoming release, the developer has released a gameplay launch trailer that briefly showcases the threats awaiting Thedas and how the Veilguard are ready to fight.
Playing as “Rok”, players seemingly start in Tevinter searching for “Solas” (known as the Dread Wolf). After disrupting his rituals, they unwittingly release two of the corrupt elven gods who wreak havoc. The only way to stop them is to gather Veilguard guardians and collaborate with factions like Veiljumpers and Grey Wardens to launch a counterattack.
Gameplay differs from previous games in several aspects, adopting a combat RPG style (with a command wheel). It is more mission-based and not an open world like Dragon Age: Inquisition, but you will continue to make decisions and deal with their consequences.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be released on October 31 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.
