Perplexity Launches Two New Features to Enhance AI-Powered Search

Perplexity, the emerging company in artificial intelligence-powered online research, has announced the launch of two new features tailored for its premium subscribers. These features are “Internal Knowledge Search” and “Spaces”. These features aim to facilitate search processes and enhance collaboration within teams, providing users with more effective and comprehensive advantages in utilizing artificial intelligence.

The first feature, “Internal Knowledge Search”, has been developed to meet the users’ needs in searching within company files as well as synchronously searching the web. Previously, this feature allowed searching in files or online separately, but recent improvements have enabled users to upload files and perform search operations in both the web and internal content simultaneously, providing an integrated experience. This feature is available to subscribers in the “Perplexity Pro” and “Enterprise Pro” plans.

This feature caters to a variety of companies and departments, including financial services companies that benefit from deep searching in internal files and available online information, as well as sales and business development teams that can expedite proposals by combining internal materials and the latest online information. Human resources teams and startups developing new products can also rely on this feature to enhance their operations.

As for “Spaces” feature, it provides a collaboration environment customized for teams based on artificial intelligence, allowing users to customize these spaces to suit their team’s needs, invite colleagues and friends to participate, and link internal files for easy access, in addition to customizing the preferred AI assistant model.

The privacy feature in “Spaces” enhances file security for “Enterprise Pro” subscribers, ensuring that internal files are not used in training artificial intelligence systems, while “Pro” plan users can choose to stop sharing their files for training through settings.

In addition to these features, Perplexity has announced the integration of external data platforms such as Crunchbase and FactSet for “Enterprise Pro” customers with subscriptions to these services, giving them greater access to in-depth information that helps accelerate decision-making and business development.
