Partnership between Qualcomm and Google to provide intelligent voice assistant for every car

The new system is based on Google’s Android Automotive system, supported by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon platform and Google Cloud services. Qualcomm also unveiled two advanced chips: Snapdragon Cockpit Elite for dashboards, and Snapdragon Ride Elite for autonomous driving features.
The new technology provides drivers and passengers with a comprehensive interactive experience including the voice assistant, interactive maps, and real-time driving updates, without the need to connect a smartphone.
This development comes as car companies race to integrate artificial intelligence technologies into their vehicles, with Volkswagen recently announcing plans to integrate ChatGPT into its voice assistant, while the adoption of Android Automotive system is increasing in Chevrolet, Honda, Volvo, and Rivian vehicles.
