OPPO launches Find X8 series phones with outstanding performance and advanced technologies
OPPO has announced the launch of its new flagship phones from the Find X8 series, which are among the company’s best phones in 2024, competing strongly with high-performance phones from other companies.
The Find X8 series features a modern design that includes a flat 6.59-inch screen in the Find X8 phone, with a +FHD resolution of LTPO OLED type, with a variable refresh rate ranging from 1 to 120Hz depending on the displayed content. The Find X8 Pro phone comes with a slightly larger screen, measuring 6.78 inches, and features a slight curvature on the sides.
Both screens have a maximum brightness of 1600 nits, and 4500 nits when displaying HDR content, and they both feature a 32-megapixel front camera cutout and a fingerprint scanner.
OPPO offers an advanced camera system with a circular design known as “Cosmos Ring,” which has become significantly smaller compared to previous versions like the Find X7. The Find X8 phone features a main camera with a 50-megapixel resolution with a 1/1.56-inch Sony LYT-700 sensor, with support for optical image stabilization (OIS). It also includes a wide-angle camera with a 50-megapixel resolution with autofocus, in addition to a “periscope” lens magnified up to 3 times with a Sony IMX882 sensor and optical stabilization support.
The Find X8 Pro phone features a second magnified “periscope” camera with a 50-megapixel resolution that allows for optical zoom up to 6 times, and the main camera features an LYT-808 sensor.
OPPO equips both phones with the HyperTone image engine, which combines up to 9 frames into one image to achieve high clarity and sharpness, while reducing noise and visual distortions. The company also provides the Hasselblad Portrait mode for portrait photography, and the new LivePhoto feature that captures short videos before and after taking the photo.
In the Find X8 Pro phone, OPPO has added a dedicated camera button called “Quick Button,” which allows you to launch the camera app with a double click, and enables image capture, zoom in, and zoom out during shooting, similar to the “Camera Control” button found on iPhone 16.
The Find X8 series is the first from OPPO to come equipped with the high-performance Dimensity 9400 processor from Mediatek, supported by an innovative cooling system that includes a layer of graphite, a vapor chamber, and a direct on-board thermal generation.
The phones operate on ColorOS 15 based on Android 15, which offers multiple features based on artificial intelligence with a new design for interface elements.
The Find X8 phone has a 5600mAh battery, while the Find X8 Pro comes with a larger 5900mAh battery, with support for 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Both phones are water and dust resistant to the IP69 standard.
The Find X8 phone will be available in China in several colors including black, white, blue, and pink, starting at $600. The Find X8 Pro phone comes in three colors, black, white, and blue, starting at $750.
The phones are expected to be available outside of China later, with expectations for OPPO to release an Ultra version of the series in the first quarter of 2025.
