Oneplus reveals OxygenOS 15 system with advanced technologies
OnePlus, the Chinese company, has announced the launch of its new system OxygenOS 15, which is built on the Android system, bringing with it a set of distinctive changes in the user interface and wide-ranging technical improvements to support artificial intelligence.
OnePlus continues to focus on its motto “Fast and Smooth”, which represents the identity of OxygenOS, claiming that navigation in the new interface has become faster and more responsive compared to previous versions. The company has directly compared it to Samsung’s OneUI interface to confirm this claim.
Regarding tangible improvements compared to OxygenOS 14, OnePlus has stated that OxygenOS 15 eliminates unnecessary features, aligning more with new flagship phones while utilizing up to twenty percent less storage space. It has introduced the Open Canvas multitasking feature for traditional phones and made it easy to share files with iPhones without compression.
OnePlus has also announced the addition of new graphical effects to the interface, especially on the home and lock screens. The company has redesigned the animation interaction mechanism to ensure smooth touch response without any slight interruptions.
In addition, OnePlus improved customization options in OxygenOS 15 by adding new choices to the lock screen, resembling iOS 16 lock screen customization but providing greater flexibility in selecting colors and visual effects through customization menus.
OnePlus also introduces the OneTake feature, allowing users to use their personal photos in innovative ways on the always-on display, home screen, and lock screen. Users can crop people, animals, or objects from photos and choose how they interact with other elements on the screen.
In the field of artificial intelligence, OnePlus has announced a range of features under the name “OnePlus AI”, including the “AI Unblur” tool, which helps parents capture photos of their children and pets in motion without blur or distortion. It has added the “AI Reflection Eraser” tool to remove reflections from photos taken behind glass, the “AI Detail Boost” feature to enhance image quality and remove zoom-induced noise, as well as the “Intelligent Search” feature to facilitate file and document searches.
OnePlus has also announced a partnership with Google to leverage artificial intelligence technologies to enhance productivity, adding features for text generation and rephrasing, and the “Circle to Search” feature that allows searching for items on the screen by drawing a circle around them.
So far, OnePlus has not specified whether these features will be available for specific versions of its phones. The update is expected to begin as a beta version at the end of October for the OnePlus 12 series, followed by many other phones from the company in the coming months.
