In an unpleasant surprise for One Piece fans, it has been officially announced that the One Piece series will be on a long hiatus until spring of the year 2025.
As viewers eagerly await to continue following the exciting events of the Egghead Island arc, this long break raises many questions and speculations about the future of the story and its characters. This shock comes at a sensitive time in the series, as things become more complicated on the mysterious island with the appearance of new characters, revealing hidden secrets, and thrilling confrontations. The anime ONE PIECE will now take an official break until April 2025, and will resume the airing of the Egghead Island arc on March 30, 2025. The reason for this hiatus is a period of reassessment to ensure higher quality for the upcoming episodes, and a special episode titled “ONE PIECE FAN LETTER” will air next Sunday.
Special Edition of the Fish-Man Island Arc:
It has also been announced that a special revised version of the Fish-Man Island arc will be released starting from October 27. This version will feature improved quality and will cover the Straw Hat pirates’ reunion and their adventure on Fish-Man Island in 21 episodes.
All of this comes in conjunction with the celebrations of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the ONE PIECE anime through many exciting projects and collaborations, including:
- A special event held in Las Vegas to celebrate the twenty-fifth anniversary of the anime.
- Collaboration with UNIQLO to release a special shirt.

Upcoming One Piece Projects
There is also the remake version of the series by the veteran studio WIT Studio, in addition to the second season of the live-action series, which recently gave a first look at Chopper and Drama Island.
Episode 1123 of the anime is expected to air on October 27, following a week after the “ONE PIECE FAN LETTER” episode. As for manga chapter 1129, it will be released later today.
