One discovers that the content of the beetle was essential in Spider-Man 2, not additional!

A few days ago, Insomniac Games announced that Spider-Man 2 will not receive any additional content. Along with this announcement came the revelation of the game’s release date for PC, earlier than expected.

Previously, leaked images had surfaced indicating that the game was supposed to receive additional content, namely a new enemy called The Beetle. However, it seems that this content was originally part of the base game and was deleted, not intended for release as additional content.

In a post on the official PlayStation blog, the developer confirmed that the game will officially launch on PC in January 2025, putting an end to suggestions that Spider-Man 2 would receive additional story content like the first Marvel’s Spider-Man game did. This was confirmed by Eric Monacelli, a developer at Insomniac Games.

Do you think the focus will now shift to Marvel’s Wolverine, especially with rumors of an upcoming event dedicated to its reveal?
