Following the release of God of War Ragnarok, which can be considered successful by all standards in the previous period, not only in terms of the overall ratings the game has achieved but also in the record-breaking sales it has garnered in the past few months.

The expectations at Sony and Santa Monica Studio exceeded what was anticipated, making all players eagerly await the new content, especially the New Game Plus mode, which was highly anticipated by the audience during the previous stage on both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.

As the player base of God of War Ragnarok expanded, it was officially revealed in the past few hours when Sony announced the availability of the new update for the game from the moment for users to download for free on PS5 and PS4 devices, allowing everyone to access it. Among its features, of course, is the addition of the New Game Plus mode.

This mode allows players to replay the entire God of War Ragnarok experience with a new difficulty level, including Give Me No Mercy and Give Me God of War. Players can embark on the adventure again using all the items collected in the original playthrough, including the Draupnir Spear weapon that will be available immediately at the start of the adventure.

On the other hand, the development team revealed a range of very exciting additions in this update that serve as rewards for players upon completing the original challenges in the game. These include new shields like Black Bear and Spartan Armor inspired by the original design of the protagonist Kratos during the era of Greek mythology.

Not to mention Ares Armor and Zeus Armor, which remind Kratos of his dark past, and there will also be the Spartan Aspis Shield inspired by ancient Greek mythology, especially the emblem associated with it. Additionally, there will be a range of new designs for various original shields present in the main version.

The development team confirmed that the new update allows players to exceed the maximum level nine for gear elements, and now they can access a set of new accessories to enhance weapons and Kratos’ armor elements. Furthermore, among the new additions in the main update for God of War Ragnarok is the enhancement of the Niflheim combat arena.

Players can now call upon characters from the game world to assist in facing waves of enemies, including Atreus alongside Kratos, as well as Freya, Brok, Sindri, Angrboda, Ingrid, Thor, in addition to the character Thrúd, all of whom will be available to players.
