Official confirmation of the return of Lara Croft in a new Tomb Raider game
If a group of prestigious series is celebrating its presence for 25 years, like the Tomb Raider series, for example, which was first released by Crystal Dynamics Studio in 1996.
Which allowed us to embody the role of the hero Lara Croft, the treasure hunter and ancient civilizations researcher, until the latter decided to rewrite history anew by releasing a whole reboot trilogy that ended with the launch of the latest part, Shadow of The Tomb Raider.
So the question remains for the audience, how can the developer team celebrate this event at the gaming level? Because we learned days ago that the movie Tomb Raider 2 has found a new production team working on it along with a new anime series by Netflix, but what about the games?
This is what the developer team Crystal Dynamics addressed when they indicated they would take advantage of this year to rearrange the series’ cards and create a set of programs to engage with the global gaming community. In this regard, Mr. Will Kerslake, the creative director of the developer team, confirmed that, as we can see in the video, they want to work again on the series in terms of games.
But this time in a different style, as they have an idea for a new installment where the heroine Lara Croft will return with a different story, although this time she is more advanced in age and has gained extensive experience based on previous adventures. This project is currently being prepared inside the studio, but do not expect it to be released in the near future, according to the same source, as they still have more years ahead to achieve what they aspire to.
Of course, the target for this project will be PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC, while Shadow of The Tomb Raider remains the main focus alongside the releases of Tomb Raider 2013 and Rise of the Tomb Raider. Best regards.
