During the Consumer Electronics Show “CES 2024”, NVIDIA announced a new family of graphics cards called GeForce RTX 40 Super. These cards are enhanced versions of the traditional RTX 40 graphics cards that were released in September 2022. The new family includes the RTX 4080 SUPER, RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, and RTX 4070 SUPER, aimed at unleashing performance in the latest games and shaping the core of artificial intelligence for computer devices, with prices starting at $599. NVIDIA took advantage of its presence at the CES 2024 event to also announce a range of other new products.
The GeForce RTX 40 SUPER series cards are all faster than their predecessors from the regular RTX 40 series, elevating the performance level of the RTX platform, improving gaming, applications, and artificial intelligence tasks. NVIDIA enhanced these latest versions of graphics processing units based on the Ada Lovelace architecture to provide up to 52 Shader TFLOPS, 121 RT TFLOPS, and 836 AI TOPS to enhance gaming, creativity, and the ability to develop new entertainment worlds and experiences.
Gamers demand the best visual quality, and NVIDIA’s DLSS technology, with ultra-high resolution, frame generation, and ray tracing technologies, delivers stunning worlds in games such as Diablo IV, Pax Dei, and Horizon Forbidden West. NVIDIA’s DLSS technology creates seven out of eight pixels using artificial intelligence, accelerating full ray tracing by up to 4 times while providing better image quality.
NVIDIA’s TensorRT is a high-performance deep learning inference software that includes optimized deep learning inference and runtime for low latency and high productivity for inference applications. RTX 4080 SUPER can generate videos over 1.5 times faster and images over 1.7 times faster than RTX 3080 Ti. With DLSS supported by artificial intelligence, gaming immersion is heightened, while creative applications benefit from Tensor Cores for accelerated productivity and creative workflow maintenance. NVIDIA Broadcast can remove background noise and provide smooth virtual backgrounds for enhanced productivity.
The RTX 4080 SUPER is designed to run fully ray-traced games at 4K resolution, offering stunning performance without DLSS frame generation. With 836 AI TOPS and DLSS frame generation technology, the RTX 4080 SUPER provides enhanced performance, making it twice as fast as the RTX 3080 Ti. The RTX 4080 SUPER will be available starting from January 31st for $999.
The RTX 4070 Ti SUPER is ideal for achieving maximum gaming performance with high frame rates up to 1440p and up to 4K resolution. It is 1.6 times faster than RTX 3070 Ti and 2.5 times faster with DLSS 3. The RTX 4070 Ti SUPER will be available starting from January 24th for $799.
The RTX 4070 SUPER has 20% more cores than the RTX 4070, making it faster than the RTX 3090 at a fraction of the power. With DLSS 3 technology, it progresses 1.5 times faster. The RTX 4070 SUPER will be available starting from January 17th for $599.
For the RTX 4080 SUPER and 4070 SUPER cards, the standard version (Founder Edition) will be available for purchase on NVIDIA.com and at some retailers. Custom boards, including overclocked models, will be available from top suppliers such as ASUS, Colorful, Gainward, GALAX, GIGABYTE, INNO3D, KFA2, MSI, Palit, PNY, and ZOTAC.
