No plans for a sequel to Palworld game despite its vast world-building possibilities.

It will be easy for Pocketpair Studio, the developer of the adventure and action game Palworld with an open world filled with Pokémon-like creatures, to continue investing in the success of their game by working on a sequel.
Palworld sold around three million copies in its first two days and had over two million concurrent players on Steam during peak times, which is not a simple or easy achievement to reach, as many similar games cannot achieve such a level of popularity in such a short time as Pocketpair Studio did.
Many development companies or studios, when achieving such success and spotlight, would typically hasten to talk about a sequel and start working on a second part to make it a series that lasts for years. However, Pocketpair Studio has done the opposite of what everyone expected, as they confirmed at this year’s Tokyo Game Show that they will double down on support for the original title instead of working or thinking about a sequel at the present time.
This answer came as a shock to the game’s audience and fans, especially after the recent confirmation that Palworld will not be supported through direct service. The studio added:
“While we currently have no plans for a sequel, we are always thinking of ways to expand the Palworld world further, as we focus on continuously providing new content and updates for players.”
It was recently confirmed that studios under Krafton’s PUBG will be working on a mobile version of Palworld, but no further details have been shared about it at the moment.
