Nintendo unveils smart alarm clock

Nintendo has announced the release of its new smart alarm clock “Alarmo,” which promises to provide a unique waking experience with its game-inspired design. The device aims to make the start of the day more fun and exciting by displaying animated graphics and emitting familiar sounds inspired by Nintendo’s popular games.
Alarmo alarm clock features a built-in motion sensor in its top part, responding to the user’s movements when waking up and emitting sounds that match those movements, adding more vibrancy to the waking experience.
Among the games that inspired Nintendo’s alarm sounds are “Super Mario Odyssey,” “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild,” “Splatoon 3,” “Pikmin 4,” and “Ring Fit Adventure.” Nintendo has promised to add more games in the future to enhance the user experience.
To enjoy all the features of the Alarmo alarm clock, users need to link their Nintendo accounts to the alarm clock and connect it to the internet, allowing them access to additional options such as future updates and adding new games.
Nintendo has also announced that Alarmo alarm clock will be initially available exclusively to “Nintendo Switch Online” subscribers, who can order it from the Nintendo online store. The alarm clock is expected to be available for sale in retail stores in 2025.
The device comes with gesture control feature, allowing users to lower the alarm volume or mute it by simply waving their hand in front of the sensor. The alarm clock can also detect user movements during waking up and play special sounds that intensify if the user does not wake up and remains in bed.
Alarmo alarm clock is available for $100 in the Nintendo online store in the United States. Despite the new release, fans of the company are eagerly awaiting the announcement of the “Switch 2” gaming console, expected to be launched in the first quarter of next year.
