New York Times Strands Today: Clues, Spanagrams, and Answers for Thursday, October 24

Strands is a completely new daily puzzle from The New York Times. Among the most challenging aspects of finding classic words, you will need a sharp eye to solve this puzzle.

Like Wordle, Connections, and Mini Crossword, solving Strands may be a bit tough on some days. There’s no shame in needing a little help from time to time. If you’re stuck and need to know the answers to today’s Strands puzzle, check out the solved puzzle below.

How to Play Strands

Each Strands puzzle starts with the goal of finding hidden “key words” in the letter grid. Manipulate the letters by dragging or clicking to form words; double-click the last letter to confirm. If you find the right word, the letters will be highlighted in blue and can no longer be selected.

If you find a word that is not a key word, that’s still helpful! For every three unrelated four-letter words you find, you’ll receive a hint – one of the key words will be revealed and you’ll only need to decipher it.

Each letter on the grid is used to clarify the key words and there is no overlap. Each letter is used once, and only once.

Each puzzle has one “spangram,” a special word (or words) that describes the puzzle theme and touches both sides of the board. When you find the spangram, it will be highlighted in yellow.

The goal is to complete the puzzle quickly without using too many hints.
