Sony has announced a new update to the PS5 interface, introducing a new section called “Welcome,” which is now available to users in Europe. This update is seen as a crucial step to enhance user experience, reflecting Sony’s commitment to providing a flexible and customized interface to meet gamers’ needs.
The new section features high customization capabilities, allowing players to add or remove a group of tools (Widgets) according to their preference. This section provides quick access to important information such as controller charge level, connected devices, trophies, PlayStation news, online friends, and console storage information.
Players can freely move tools between different screen locations, with pre-defined models available to facilitate customization. One of the key new features is the ability to customize the menu background, with Sony offering 26 images to choose from, in addition to the option to use any image from the user’s media library.
There is also a moving background from the game Astro Bot, adding a unique touch to the device interface for fans of the cheerful blue hero.
