New Update for Garmin Vivosmart 5 Enhances Connected GPS Feature
The company Garmin has announced a new update for the fitness tracker device Garmin Vivosmart 5, with version 3.25 bringing a significant improvement to the connected GPS feature. Launched in 2022, this device aims to provide a simpler option compared to other smartwatches offered by the company.
The new update enhances the connected GPS function, allowing the Vivosmart 5 device to use GPS data from a connected smartphone to track physical activities such as walking, running, and cycling. Users can track their location, speed, and other vital details.
While Garmin has not provided additional details on the quality of the improvements or how they directly impact user experience, this step follows a previous update (3.24) that included bug fixes related to alarms, strength activities, and sleep tracking.
The update is already available to all users through the Garmin Connect Mobile app or via computer using Garmin Express software. So far, there have been no reports of issues from users regarding the new version, but if any problems arise, users can raise them in the company’s forum.
