New Silent Hill 2 Remake Update Brings More Problems Than Fixes!

The developer of the Silent Hill 2 Remake has released a major update for the game with the number 1.04. It is supposed to bring several improvements and technical fixes to the game, but it also brought a dose of technical woes, which seems like a humorous gesture for an update intended for technical fixes!

The new update prevents players from continuing the game, causing a technical glitch in the Labyrinth stage after Toluca Prison, where the player is completely blocked from progressing in the game and stuck in place.

Player analysis revealed that the technical issue occurs when the player loads a save file within the Labyrinth stage specifically. If you load a save file from a previous area before this stage, your chances of escaping the horrors of this update will be greater.

The official Silent Hill game account on Twitter posted an official statement acknowledging the existence of these problems and that they are aware of them and are currently working on fixing the glitch and restoring the update as quickly as possible.

The game developer suggests one alternative solution at the moment to avoid this technical glitch, which is to use a save file before the Labyrinth stage and avoid saving the game in this stage or generating any save file within it.

Despite this strange incident with the update, it is worth mentioning that the 1.04 update brings many technical improvements to the PC version as well as the PlayStation 5 version of the game. All of these enhance the player’s experience with the game, address several technical issues that previously annoyed players, make the game play smoother, and provide better support when running it on handheld gaming devices like the Steam Deck.

Fortunately, any technical issues that have appeared in the game so far have not affected its performance in the markets, as we have previously reported how the Silent Hill 2 Remake was able to achieve a million copies sold within a short period of time.
