New Images Leaked for Cancelled PlayStation London Studio Game after its Closure
Earlier this year, the closure of the first-party PlayStation London studio was announced, which was working on an undisclosed project under the name Camden.
The Camden project is a cooperative live-service game set in a fantasy version of London. The project was under development before the studio was closed and some of its employees were merged into other PlayStation studios.
Before the cancellation of the PlayStation London studio project, one official artistic image was released showing a character with an elf-like appearance fighting a massive dragon. However, more leaked artistic images have been discovered today after the project was canceled and the studio was closed.
The images appeared on the famous ArtStation platform, within the portfolio of designer Léa Pinto, who worked with PlayStation London studio from 2021 to 2023.
The post shows artistic images created in 2023 for a project that was later revealed to be the Camden project that was canceled. This was confirmed through the elements present in the leaked artistic drawings, showing two pieces depicting streets of London and stores with fictional names like sprites, goblins, and elves.
While the first two images in the post display designs of London streets during night and day, the following images appear to show the facade of St. Paul’s Cathedral, a famous landmark in London.
As you can see from the artistic images, in addition to their resemblance to the official image of the canceled PlayStation London project, they also use the same artistic touches and colors, which may confirm that the images are indeed from the canceled Camden project.
It is worth mentioning that the PlayStation London studio has previously worked on several projects for PlayStation platforms, most notably The Getaway: Black Monday.
