New Addition: Extracting Text from Images, Videos, Documents, and More…
There are many optical character recognition tools online, websites, and various apps that extract text from images, which is extremely useful to avoid wasting time typing what someone else has already written at that time.
Among all these tools, I especially love those found in this free OCR article, although the tool I discovered today is really interesting, it’s an extension for Google Chrome.
This is Quixy Toolbox, a Chrome browser extension capable of extracting text from the video we are playing online, from a presentation or speech, in addition to extracting text from images, PDF files, and more…
After installing it in the browser, the Toolbox recognizes text and extracts it from anywhere, from images, videos, Zoom meetings, web PDFs, web pages, and anywhere content exists, and it can recognize over 75 languages.
The extension is available on the Chrome Web Store, a free extension for everyone and does not require a Quixy account to explore. Keep in mind that Quixy is a foundational digital transformation platform with no code to accelerate business process management (BPM) and workflow automation initiatives, but you don’t need a Quixy account to use this extension.
To use it, simply follow these steps:
1. Click on the Quixy icon at the top of the browser window.
2. Select the language of the text you want to extract.
3. Select the area where the text is located. Using the mouse or trackpad, draw a rectangle around the text you want to extract or process.
4. Processing takes from a second to two seconds and we will have the text available to copy.
Very simple and highly practical can be added to your Chrome browser from the following link: Quixy Toolbox
