Netflix’s ad-supported cheaper version with arrival date confirmed for November 1st.

A few months ago, Netflix announced that they are planning to launch a new, cheaper subscription option with ads to offset the significant loss of users they’ve been experiencing in recent months and to put an end to password sharing.

Gradually, we are learning more details about Netflix’s new plan with ads, and with the revelation of its price, we can now confirm its arrival date.

A recent report published in Variety confirmed that the launch date for Netflix’s new ad-supported subscription will be November 1st. According to the source, this plan will initially be launched in several countries, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, or Germany.

So far, everything indicates that Netflix’s new cheap plan with ads will be available in early 2023, but after Disney announced that its ad-supported subscription will launch on December 8th, the streaming platform decided to release its version to compete with Disney.

Officially, Netflix has not confirmed this information yet, and in this regard, a company spokesperson stated:

“We are still in the early days of figuring out how to launch a low-priced ad-supported tier and no decisions have been made.”

So far, what we know is that Netflix’s new cheap plan with ads will range between $7 and $9, and you will see four minutes of ads per hour of content before and during some shows and movies.
